Data we process
To describe a photo, Vizhu sends it to api.vizhu.org and connected AI services. If you ask a spoken question, its recording and recognized text are also processed to answer it. There is no continuous video transmission. Each request uses one photo and does not include previous conversation history.
Service providers
The image and question text are sent through Vizhu’s server to connected AI services for processing. Speech recognition providers receive recorded questions, and speech synthesis providers receive answer text. Processing may take place in other countries.
Retention and deletion
Photos, voice recordings and request text are not retained by Vizhu's server, the server gateway or the connected AI providers after processing. This no-retention condition applies to all of the processors listed above.
Photo and conversation history stays on your device until deleted. The delete button in History removes all entries, their local backup and saved photos. Temporary recordings and speech files are deleted after use. Settings and consent are stored on the device. App data may be included in the device's system backup if enabled; Apple settings control that backup on iOS. Android backup behavior depends on device settings and the app version.
A local diagnostic log contains recent technical events, without photos, recordings, conversation text or access keys.
Usage statistics
The app sends usage statistics through Vizhu’s server to Traction: app launches, feature use, response times, errors, app version, language and platform. Analytics does not include photos, voice recordings, question or answer text, or custom instructions.
Events are associated with a random app installation identifier so we can measure repeat use without an account. It is not an advertising identifier. Unsent events stay on the device for up to seven days, with a limit of 500 events. On iOS, sending starts after consent to AI processing; withdrawing consent stops further analytics uploads except for the withdrawal event itself. A request already in progress may finish. On Android, statistics are sent automatically. We use these data to improve the app, not for advertising or tracking across other apps.
Your choices
On iOS, the app asks for consent to send data to AI services before first use. If you decline, the camera and microphone do not start and requests are not sent. On iOS, withdraw consent in Settings with “Turn off AI processing” to stop new requests. Android does not show a separate in-app consent prompt; camera and microphone access is managed through system permissions. An in-flight request may already have been processed. Withdrawal does not delete history; use History to delete it first. You can also disable camera or microphone access in system settings. Photo descriptions work without microphone access.
Accounts, advertising and support
No account is required. The app has no ads or advertising tracking. Request data is not sold or used for advertising. If you email support, the developers receive your sender address and the information you provide. Contact mikhail.naer@gmail.com with privacy questions or to request deletion of support correspondence.
